‘I have been a student of Barbara Suttie's for the past year. In that time I have come to know and learn from an incredible artist. The tonal contrast in her paintings along with her gifted use of light and lingering mist is nothing short of breathtaking. Barbara’s vibrant use of colour is what first drew me to her work: she immerses herself in every painting, carefully attending to the detail of every mark on canvas from the planning stage to the final signature.’ Carol Taylor

‘Such beautiful work! Barb is a very inspiring painter and is very generous in sharing her knowledge and skills with others.’ Christine Miller

“We commissioned Barb Suttie for a couple of works for the simple reason that Barb feels the essence of a scene and then paints from somewhere deep inside herself. The end result is a picture that although “still” is beautiful and full of life.” Graham & Helen Dietrich
